The festive hall on the first floor, the restaurant area on the ground floor with a large beer garden and the beautiful bar with a historic wine cellar make the Löwen the central gastronomic institution in Hausen am Albis and the surrounding area.

The current owners of the property and operators of the inn, the homeowner couple Joelle Apter and Michael von Arx, also feel committed to history and tradition. The Löwen should remain a meeting place for a wide variety of guests and groups for generations to come.
As a locally anchored operation, the Löwen team puts its specialist knowledge and skills to the test every day with the focus on the wishes and needs of the guests. The dishes prepared daily are made with fresh ingredients - if possible from local producers and suppliers. Employees are valued, encouraged and trained.
The Gasthof Löwen attaches great importance to sustainability and ecological optimisation. The heating, including hot water preparation, is carried out by district heating. The electricity purchased from the Zurich power station is also CO2-neutral as "green electricity". Three charging stations for Teslas and other electric cars also support the lion's concept, which is designed for sustainability. The sale of high-quality village water (Huuser Quell from Albis) underlines the ecological endeavor (no packaging, no travel distances).
