The collection of the Kunsthaus Zug now comprises around 10,000 works and has grown into a highly respected public art collection of regional, national and international importance.
The Kunsthaus Zug has various collections ranging from classical modernism to contemporary art. Highlights include the most important collection of classical Viennese Modernism in Europe outside Austria, as well as groups of works on Swiss Surrealism and Fantastic Realism, on Central Switzerland and on sculpture and plastic art.
With “Project Collection”, a dynamic collection model of contemporary art was developed in 1996 that is unique worldwide and involves the city.
