In Langenberg, the oldest and largest animal park in Switzerland, you can observe native wild animals such as lynx, wolves and bison at close range, almost as if they were in the wild. In Sihlwald - the first national nature discovery park - imposing giant trees and dead wood with mushrooms and lichens characterize the primeval forest-like wilderness area.
The "WaldWildnisWir" special exhibition at the Sihlwald Nature Museum invites visitors to explore. It shows how a natural forest is created, what secrets researchers uncover in the forest, how badgers live and how trees support each other. Young and old can explore and experiment for themselves in the forest workshop. The nature museum is open seasonally from the end of March to the end of October.
