In Langenberg, the oldest and largest animal park in Switzerland, you can observe native wild animals such as lynx, wolf and bison at close quarters, almost as if they were in the wild. In Sihlwald - the first national nature experience park - imposing giant trees and dead wood with fungi and lichens characterise the primeval forest-like wilderness area.
In the Sihlwald Nature Museum, the special exhibition "WaldWildnisWir" invites visitors to discover. It shows how a natural forest is created, what secrets researchers uncover in the forest, how badgers live and how trees support each other. Young and old can do their own research and experiments in the forest workshop. The Nature Museum is open seasonally from the end of March to the end of October.
