The monastery is somewhat hidden in the outer old town of Zug. Capuchins lived here from 1595 to 1997. They closed this branch due to a lack of new recruits.

As the owner of the monastery building, the local community found a new use for it. The Catholic "Community of the Beatitudes" has been working in the former monastery since 2000. It serves the poor and the Gospel.
