The view from the Raten Pass over the Ägeri Valley and the Schwyz Alps is phenomenal. From here, you can begin your exploration of the Höhronen mountain range.

The gentle mountain ridge separates not only the Ägerisee region from the Sihltal, but also the cantons of Schwyz and Zug. On the southwestern extension of the Höhronen, the Gottschalkenberg, the forest thins out. From the “Bellevue” observation deck, you’ll enjoy a magnificent view of the greater Zurich region and the Glarus Alpine panorama. Together with the Raten Pass, the Höhronen and Gottschalkenberg form a scenic gem.
