Under the artistic direction of Annette Windlin, an experienced production team brings to the stage a production that is as entertaining as it is thought-provoking, in which the past and the present collide.

Drawing on the events surrounding the year 1315, when Morgarten made history, the play tells a modern story about tradition, change, and community. A planned construction project sparks debate in the valley, while memories of historical events are evoked. Humorous scenes, clever dialogue, and a strong connection to the region characterize the production.

The play by Paul Steinmann and Annette Windlin is performed by 40 amateur actors and actresses and combines historical themes with contemporary issues. The unique open-air setting makes the theatrical experience a cultural highlight in the region.
