Based on the events surrounding the year 1315, when Morgarten went down in history, the play tells a modern story about tradition, change and community. A planned construction project causes discussion in the valley, while memories of historical events are evoked. Humorous scenes, clever dialogues and a strong connection to the region characterize the production.The play by Paul Steinmann and Annette Windlin is performed by 45 amateur actors and combines historical motifs with current issues. The special open-air setting makes the theater experience a cultural highlight in the region.
