The city of Zug has had market rights since the Middle Ages. Since then, markets have been held regularly on the Landgemeindeplatz. At the colorful weekly markets you will find fresh vegetables and sweet fruits from the region, regional cheese, flowers and other fresh products. The absolute market highlight is the annual Chriesimärt, which transforms Zug into a widely known Chriesi stronghold for 2 to 3 weeks in June.
